DESCRIPTION:International Women’s Day 2026 presents a strategic moment for the Youth in Sustainable Aquaculture (YISA) programme to celebrate milestones in inclusive growth. Under the theme “Give to Gain\,” Echo Network Africa (ENAF) and our consortium partners are hosting a dedicated webinar to showcase how intentional investment in women delivers measurable economic and social returns. \nIn Kenya\, while national demand for fish far exceeds local production\, young women often face structural and financial barriers to entering the sector. YISA is changing this narrative. We are moving beyond the traditional perception of women as Mama Karanga (fishmongers) and positioning them as critical drivers of productivity\, resilience\, and growth.
